Bicycle Baby Carrier Seat Recall

This recall involves Topeak Babyseat II bicycle carrier seats (model numbers TCS2101 and TCS2102). When an adult lifts the grab bar to remove the child from the seat, the child’s fingertips can be caught in the hinge mechanism, posing a laceration and fingertip amputation hazard to the child. Stop using the recalled carrier seats and call your local dealer where the product was purchased or Norco Products Ltd. (Eastern Canada: 1-800-263-2344, Western Canada: 1-800-663-8916) to receive a free hinge cover retro fit kit. The recalled bicycle carrier seats were sold from January 2009 to April 2012.

Toy Recalls

This recall affects various toys from Benzus Imports including: Learn & Fun Puzzle & Clock, Intelligence Writing BoardSuper motorcycleTitTup Working (a dancing construction truck with light and sound). Small parts of these toys may separate, posing a choking hazard to young children. The recalled toys were sold from May 2011 to March 2012 and can be disposed in the regular household garbage. For more information, contact Bensus Imports by phone at (514) 344-1616 (extension 110).

STOK Gas Grill Recall

STOK Quattro gas grills (a rectangular, four-burner grill) have been recalled as the regulator on the grill can leak propane gas, posing a fire and burn hazard to consumers. Stop using the STOK Quattro grill and contact One World Technologies ( 1-800-867-9624 ) to obtain a free replacement gas regulator. The recalled gas grills were sold from March 2011 to February 2012 at Home Depot stores in Canada.

Flat Iron Recall

Avanti Ultra AV-Dextra flat irons have been recalled as it has not been evaluated by to ensure it meets the required safety standards for Canada. This product may pose electrical safety hazards.

If you own this flat iron, stop using it immediately. You can return it to the place of purchase for an exchange with a certified AV-DEXTRA flat iron. For more information, consumers may contact Dannyco toll-free at 1-800-363-0707. The affected flat irons were sold from February 2010 to December 2010.

Grass Trimmer Recall

Husqvarna Grass Trimmers (model 122C with serial numbers that range from 2011 17 00001 to 2011 52 99999) have been recalled as fuel can leak, posing a fire hazard. The recalled grass trimmers were sold from February 2011 to January 2012  at various Lowe’s locations. Return this grass trimmer to the place of purchase for a free repair.
