I’m excited to join My Real Review’s team of Real Moms! My goal on the team is to share what has or hasn’t worked for my family and hopefully help others choose what will work for them. I am a strong believer in community and the strength that can come from people sharing their lives together. Many of my life decisions and activities are focussed on furthering and fostering community.
Here’s a little bit about me. I am a mom of three, wife to one (hee-hee), violist, and violin/viola teacher. I am involved in my kids’ schools, music community, and church.
My kids are a six year old boy (that I’ll call ER), a four year old girl K, and a baby EJ. My husband J is a middle school teacher who is specializes in art.
I play in several orchestras and ensembles as a free-lance musician. I also teach violin and viola to a variety of ages and abilities. When I say I’m a violist, the first question most people ask is “What’s a viola??” The viola is in the strings family and is slightly larger than a violin. It is a little lower and has a deep, rich sound. I also play violin; having studied it for many years before switching to viola. Look up “violin family” on Wikipedia to find out all the details on the differences between violin and viola.
I’m not sure what else to say about myself so I’ll just cheat and use parts of a good ol’ facebook survey
